Frequently asked questions.

How much are you selling cats for?

  1. We aren’t selling cats. We are rescuing them and adopting them out.

  2. If someone is “selling” a cat, do your research.

Where can I get my cat fixed low cost?

We have a giant list of affordable vet care in the Pittsburgh area here.

I found a litter of tiny kittens and no mom. What can I do?

Momma cats often leave their kittens for hours at a time. The BEST thing you can do is stick around and keep an eye out for mom. If hours pass and she doesn’t show up, only then would it be recommended to bring them inside and attempt to bottle feed with Kitten Milk Replacement.

Bottle feeding is not an easy task, and is done a bit differently than one would expect. We recommend watching The Kitten Lady’s how-to video here.

Keeping an eye out for mom in the coming days is also recommended, as she may make her way back. In this case, you would need to determine if she is friendly or feral, and proceed with trapping her and reuniting her with her babies, as momma’s milk is the best milk.

If you find yourself in this situation, please reach out to us, as we are happy to help guide you with a feral mom and babies.

I found a cat/kitten, but I can’t keep it because I already have pets/kids. What do I do?

At the risk of being Negative Nancys, we, too, have pets and members of our family that would prefer we didn’t fill our homes with cats. If it were easy, more folks would do it.

We understand it’s a struggle to hang onto a cat, but a temporary stay in your basement or spare bathroom makes a world of a difference for us to be able to assist you. BUT more importantly - it makes a world of a difference for that cat or kitten.

We are happy to help guide you, and even provide the necessities to get you started if you’re willing to hang onto a kitty until we can make room.
